MORRISTON ORPHEUS MALE VOICE CHOIR

What an enjoyable way to spend a Saturday Evening. Whilst many would be watching the musical "delights" of X Factor on TV  I had the great pleasure in being at Theatre Severn Shrewsbury on Saturday 27th September listening to the Morriston Orpheus Male Voice Choir from South Wales.

This 80 strong ensemble of voices, mainly of an elderly age new how to sing. With a repetoire that included hymn tunes, gospel numbers, wartime singalongs and much more such was the delight that the end came all to soon!

Interspersing between choir spots was guest soloist Ros Evans a soprano of fine voice who not only sang but added a touch of humour into the proceedings, as did the conductor Joy Amman Davies.

The conductor was a Joy and being in the audience was even more of a joy another great show presented by Theatre Severn.

BACK TO BROADWAY

"Oh What A Night" Just got in from Theatre Severn Shrewsbury Friday 26th September, a great show "Back To Broadway".
To say that "I had the time of my life" would be an understatement, "Mamma Mia" this show was not just "Wicked" but Miss Saigon, Starlight Express, Chicargo, Les Miserables, Hairspray plus many other great musical shows too.

From the curtaining raising till time for it to fall at the end of the second half this was a production of non stop singing and dancing by eight talented performers all sharing leading roles. Lots of costume changes with songs for everyone.

However, if you love musicals and missed this show then Book Now for Saturday 18th October for Kerry Ellis STAR OF THE WEST END AND BROADWAY..
