AUGUST BANK HOLIDAY

Had a great weekend at Fort Perch Rock New Brighton over the August Bank Holiday weekend. On the Sunday met up with long time associate skiffle king Chas McDevitt (see photo). He was joined on stage by an allstar group of musicians.

This was followed in the evening by a show at Gresford Collery Club, Wrexham,  headlined by Linda Gail Lewis (sister to the legendary Jerry Lee Lewis) and her band. Support was singer songwriter Emma. I played a series of 50s tracks as well as compering the show. Not a big crowd but an excellent night was had by all.

I have previously worked with Linda when she appeared for me in my Rock n Roll USA show at the Civic Hall in Wolverhampton, at my International Country Music weekend at Llangollen, and my rock n roll weekender at Rhyl.

On the Bank Holiday Monday I compered the show at Fort Perch Rock which again featured singer songwriter Emma, plus Cliff Roberts & The Rockers with their tribute to Cliff & The Shadows; with Linda Gail Lewis and her band again topping the bill
